Aside from kitchen and bath renovations, probably our most requested service is the addition of actual space to our client’s homes.
Those of you that follow us here regularly know that our approach can range from a 3-story addition and expansion of a client’s basement as we are undertaking currently in Kensington , to a bump-out built off the back of a client’s home as shown here, and yes, sometimes we build straight up by adding levels to our client’s home.
Which is right for you, of course, will depend on your lot size, what will work best with your existing architecture, your budget, design considerations that will deliver the most bang for your buck, and so on.
Shown here is one of our classic rear bump-outs. With lot sizes in many parts of Bethesda, Chevy Chase, and Northwest D.C. relatively narrow, this is a common work-around that can deliver great results.
Note the addition of another full bath with curbless shower as part of this addition as well as additional pantry space. A real game-changer for this family!
